Titanium Dioxide

CAS No. 1317-80-2

Titanium dioxide (TiO₂) is currently the best performing and most widely used white inorganic pigment in the world, known as the "king of pigments". It has a very high refractive index, excellent whiteness, fading strength, and outstanding opacity. According to different crystal types, industrial titanium dioxide is mainly divided into two categories: Rutile and Anatase, which are widely used in coatings, plastics, papermaking, printing inks, chemical fibers, cosmetics and other fields.

The application of titanium dioxide in the industry

Paint industry

Paint industry

Titanium dioxide is the primary core pigment in coatings. With high whiteness, strong coverage, excellent weather resistance, UV resistance, and no yellowing, it is widely used in building exterior wall paint, interior wall paint, industrial anti-corrosion paint, wood paint, automotive paint, etc., determining the appearance and service life of coatings.

Ink industry

Titanium dioxide is the core white pigment in the ink industry. With its high whiteness, strong coverage, fine particle size, sun and weather resistance, and excellent dispersibility, it can enhance the gloss and color stability of the ink layer. It is suitable for offset printing, gravure printing, flexographic printing, water-based printing, screen printing, and various special inks, and is widely used in printing fields such as books, packaging, signage, and clothing printing.

Plastic industry

Plastic industry

After addition, the whiteness, luster and texture of plastic products will be improved, and the anti-aging and anti pulverization abilities will be enhanced. Applied to general plastics, engineering plastics, plastic films, synthetic leather, daily plastic products, etc.

Papermaking industry

As a filler and white pigment, it enhances the whiteness, opacity, and smoothness of paper, mainly used for high-end printing paper, decorative base paper, copperplate paper, wallpaper base paper, etc.
